Higher Ground Neighborhood Development Corp.'s mission is to provide services that address the intellectual development of young people through providing comprehensive after-school programming, career-to-college workforce programming, school-based behavioral health treatment, professional development, and service-learning experiences. HG acts as an information storehouse on school/community-based service coordination for youth and the organizations that serve them.
Alameda Education Foundation
The mission of the Alameda Education Foundation is to engage the community, raise funds, and coordinate programs to support and enhance the quality of K-12 public education in Alameda. Our programs support the academic, athletic, creative, and social growth for Alameda’s public school students. We manage and support a variety of programs in music, drama, sports, foreign languages, science, technology, college prep, and much more. We believe that thriving public schools are essential for a strong community and a promising future.
Positive Coaching Alliance
Coaching Corps is committed to recruiting, training and supporting coaches so that they may guide youth in under-resourced communities to ensure kids can benefit from the positive impact sports and coaches can have on their lives. To date, we have placed over 19,000 coaches with hundreds of after school sports programs, serving over 210,000 youth in underserved communities across the country. By pairing qualified coaches with after school sports programs in under-resourced areas, we can provide youth with a fun experience that enhances their positive development.
